Twin Rivers Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and motivated team member that enjoys the variety of a busy medical clinic. As an Admissions and Patient Coordinator, you would work to provide exceptional customer service to our patients, vendors and co-workers. Specific duties include but are not limited to: welcoming patients to our facility both in person and virtually, gathering demographic, insurance, and contact information, answering phone calls, scanning records, taking customer payments, and assisting with referrals and pre-authorizations.

Prior office experience desired, experience in a medical office setting a plus

Flexible scheduling: Full-time scheduling is three shifts per week, and one weekend per month (every third weekend).

Qualifications:

Unrestricted licensure with the state of Nebraska, unrestricted DEA license,

Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care or family practice setting

Knowledge of computerized information systems for business practice and electronic medical records (EMR)

Knowledge of relevant drugs and their appropriate use for treatment purposes

Knowledge of non-medical care aids relevant to patient care

Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Compliance with all applicable accreditations, certifications, HIPAA, OSHA and all other state and federal laws governing the healthcare industry

Specific Duties Included but not limited to:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, coworkers, vendors in accordance with the mission of Twin Rivers Health Care.
  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Provide services through telemedicine platform in conjunction with in-person visits
  • Perform procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection and wound care
  • Documenting and charting patient information in line with current policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, assist in continuity of care
  • Communicate with patients regarding care, follow up, education
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as necessary
  • Refers patients to appropriate specialists as needed
  • Follow established policies and procedures and recommended referral practices
  • Participate in staff meetings and other clinical operational procedures as needed
  • Order diagnostic tests, x-rays, lab tests and interpret to identify abnormalities
  • Orientation/training of practitioners as necessary

Working Conditions:

Requires work in a clinical setting with exposure to noise and potential exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens.

Requires the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Our medical team is ready to focus on you – whether it’s a cold or flu, a strain or sprain, or something more complicated.
